2008: Battled through injuries during the year but still appeared in 17 games and made four starts • despite seeing limited action, ranked seventh in the conference with four sacrifice flies • roped three hits on the season and scored two runs • went 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored against Lafayette on April 2.
2007: Appeared in 45 games with 37 starts in rightfield • team went 28-9 with him in the starting lineup • finished the season with 33 hits, including 13 for extra-bases • his seven home runs were tied for third on the team • successful on three of four stolen base attempts • crushed the first home run of his career and knocked in two runs against Georgia State on April 1 • that game started his season-best 10-game hitting streak • over that stretch, he racked up 14 hits, nine RBI, seven runs scored, and five home runs • also homered and knocked in three runs against both William & Mary on May 6 and Rutgers on May 15.
2006: Redshirted season and retained freshman eligibility.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in baseball at Germantown Academy for coach Craig Conlin • All-Inter AC and all-county selection • captain senior season • team was nationally ranked by USA Today during junior season • also lettered in basketball, soccer and football at Germantown Academy • honor roll student.
Personal: Daniel Matthew "Danny" Overcash • son of Jay and Roe Overcash • youngest of four children • brother, Jay, played basketball for Drexel, 1997-2001 • honor student as a marketing major at Delaware with a minor in strength and conditioning.
