High School: Three-sport standout at Steel Valley High School • starred as a left-handed pitcher and first baseman for the baseball team • earned All-Section honors for his performance on the diamond • also lettered in soccer and basketball • led the soccer team to a District Championship while earning All-State honors as a senior • led the team with 33 goals, including a school-record seven goals in one game • earned All-Section honors in basketball as well • named the 2007-08 Post-Gazette South Athlete of the Year • Honor Roll student.
