CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Due to inclement weather in Virginia, the University of Delaware baseball team will play a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Sunday in hopes of avoiding the impending storms.

Rather than playing single games on Friday and Saturday, the Blue Hens will face Fordham at 10:30 a.m. and the host Virginia Cavaliers later tomorrow. Delaware’s second game is slated to begin 30 minutes after the completion of the Virginia – Fordham contest scheduled for 2 p.m.

Following a break in action on Saturday, Delaware will return for the team’s regularly-scheduled doubleheader on Sunday. The Hens will take on Fordham at 11 a.m. before squaring off with Virginia at 3 p.m.

Delaware enters the weekend with a 2-2 record after splitting a four-game series with Longwood. The team will open its home slate on Tuesday after returning from Virginia when the Hens host Saint Joseph’s at 2:30 p.m.
