Personal/High School: Matt Gregory Heppner...born April 22, 1985...son of Mark and Karen Heppner...has two younger brothers - Jeff (16) and Anthony (10)...four-year letterwinner at Riverhead HS and also earned one varsity letter in football...helped Riverhead qualify for the playoffs as a senior for the first time since 1995...all-county and all-league selection as a junior, when he was also named team MVP...all-league selection as a sophomore...kicked a school-record 53-yard field goal in only season playing football...pitched for the Long Island Titans this past summer under coaches Jim Clark and Eric Joyner.
