Personal/High School: Brian Valichka...born August 21, 1983...son of Karian Forsha and William Valichka...has three brothers...sport management major at UD...honored as an academic all-american and an All-Big 12 academic award winner at Oklahoma St. in 2002...earned four letters in baseball and two letters in golf at Urbana HS...two year captain in baseball...pre-season all-state as a senior...led team with a .440 average with a county leading 18-for-18 in stolen bases...all-metro honorable mention...all-area and all-conference first team ...MVP of Maryland Crown All-Star game...led team as a junior with a .500 batting average to go along with 31 RBI and 13 stolen bases...all-area, all-conference and All-Gazette first team as a junior...starting designated hitter as a sophomore...hit .375 to garner all-county honorable mention honors...played for the Maryland Orioles this past summer, which won the AAABA World Series.
