At Allan Hancock College: Starting shortstop at Allan Hancock • named a 2009 preseason All-American selection • earned first-team All-Conference honors as well • finished the year with a .309 batting average and a team-high nine stolen bases • led the team to a 28-19 record.
High School: Three-sport star at Faith Lutheran High School • earned four letters in baseball while leading the team to three state championships • first-team All-State selection as a senior in 2007 • also earned second-team All-State honors in 2006 and second-team All-Conference honors in 2005 • received Academic All-Conference honors as well • also earned two letters in both basketball and soccer • led the basketball team to two state championships while earning All-Conference honors as a guard • earned second-team All-State honors in soccer as well.
