2009: Named to the CAA All-Rookie team and garnered Delaware’s Rookie of the Year Award • took home three CAA Rookie of the Week accolades and one Pitcher of the Week honor during the season • led all Hens and ranked third in the conference with a .244 batting-average-against • his 4.32 ERA was second on the squad • stood ninth in the CAA in ERA and innings pitched (77.0) • tied for the team lead with three complete games • tossed the first nine-inning shutout by a Blue Hen in over eight years after blanking Hofstra, 19-0, on April 12 • finished the game with eight strikeouts and surrendered only five hits to the Pride • became the first freshman in Delaware history to earn conference Pitcher of the Week honors after firing eight scoreless innings against Marist on March 15 • earned his first Rookie of the Week honor after twirling a complete game three-hitter against Old Dominion • became the first Blue Hen freshman to toss a nine-inning complete game since 2002 • went 4-0 with a 3.27 ERA in six starts at Bob Hannah Stadium • clinched a playoff berth for Delaware with seven strong innings in a 13-4 victory over VCU during the regular season finale • tossed at least six innings in his final 10 starts of the season.
