2009: Appeared in eight games and tossed 12 innings as a reliever • one of only four true freshmen to see action during the season • posted a 2-0 record with a 3.00 ERA and six strikeouts • held the opposition scoreless during six of his eight appearances • had an 8.1-inning scoreless streak between February 28 and April 8 • earned his first career victory with two spotless frames against Wilmington on March 17 • picked up his second win against Saint Joseph’s on March 25 • tossed a season-high 2.1 innings of work with two strikeouts against the Hawks on April 8.
High School: Three-year standout for Don Bosco Prep • saw action as a third baseman for the Ironmen • led the team to three straight county titles and a No. 2 National Ranking by USA Today in 2008 • team went 33-0 and won the State Championship during his senior season • also a three-year member of the basketball team as a shooting guard • member of the National Honor Society and served as a Big Brother for incoming freshmen.
