PRINCETON,
NJ (Sept. 5, 2004)-- Katie
Evans (Newton Square, PA/Marple Newton)
and Leah Geib (Schwenksville,
PA/Souderton) led the University of
Delaware field hockey team to a 2-0 win
over Princeton University Sunday
afternoon, improving the Blue Hens to 3-1
and dropping the Tigers to 0-2.
Evans
and Geib each had a goal in the victory
with Evans' goal coming from Stephanie
Swain (Middletown, DE/Middletown) and
Geib's from Erica LaBar (New Castle,
DE/William Penn) off a penalty corner.
Megan
Allen (Virginia Beach, VA/Kempsville)
picked up her third straight shutout
despite Delaware being outshot 14-7.
The
Blue Hens return home to face the
University of North Carolina on September
10, at 4 p.m.
