NEWARK, DE -- Theresa Dinallo and
Liz Sanders each scored twice as No. 9 James Madison shutout
Delaware, 4-0, in field hockey action Sunday afternoon at
Rullo Stadium.
The loss was Delaware's sixth striaght,
five of which have come against ranked teams. The Blue Hens
are now 3-7 on the season.
Dinallo got the Dukes (9-2) on the board
just 1:41 into the game with her fourth goal of the season
and 10th of her career on a nifty shot from the right
wing.
She scored again with 10:12 remaining in
the first half off of a feed from Katrina Hunter, one of
three assists on the day for Hunter.
Sanders scored both of her goals in the
second half on identical corner plays, deflecting Hunter's
intended shot past Delaware keeper Kelly
Ottati.
James Madison outshot Delaware, 14-3.
Ottati finished the day with seven saves in net for
Delaware. Amanda Katz had one save in recording her fourth
shutout of the season.
The Blue Hens begin a three-game road
trip Tuesday when they visit Franklin Field to face Penn at
7 p.m.
