PHILADELPHIA -- Brett Dymarczyk
scored the only goal of the game and goalkeeper Lauren
Bradley stopped a barrage of Delaware shots as St. Joseph's
defeated Delaware, 1-0, in field hockey action Thursday
night.
Dymarczyk scored unassisted just 3:01
into the second half to give the Hawks (8-3) a 1-0
lead.
Bradley did the rest, recording 14 saves
for the night and shuting out a Delaware offense that could
not take advantage of eight second-half penalty
corners.
Delaware (4-8) outshot St. Joseph's,
18-6, and held a 12-2 advantage in penalty corners, but
continued to struggle offensively. Delaware has scored just
three goals in the last seven games.
Kelly Ottati had three saves for
Delaware.
The Blue Hens conclude their three-game
road trip Sunday with an America East tilt at Vermont. Game
time is 12 noon.
