Geib, LaBar lead Blue Hens to 6th Victory

NEW CANAAN, CT -- The University of Delaware field hockey team blanked Dartmouth College, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at New Canaan HS in New Caanan, CT.

Sophomore Leih Geib (Schwenksville, PA) opened the scoring for the Blue Hens (6-4) at the 28:07 mark, scoring off a feed from fellow sophomore Erica LaBar (New Castle, DE), her first of two assists on the day. Delaware added second-half goals by sophomore Jesse Balmer (Telford, PA) and junior Jessica Breault (Southbury, CT) to seal the win.

Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Judefind (Wilmington, DE) made one save in picking up her fifth win of the seaosn and her fourth shutout. She now has eight in her career.

LaBar leads Delaware in scoring with seven goals and six assists, followed by senior Kim Wagaman (Oley, PA) (2g, 6a) and Balmer (5g, 0a).

The Blue Hens return to action on Sunday, October 6, when they take on CAA opponent Old Dominion at Rullo Stadium. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
