Breault's Six
Points Propel Blue Hens to Victory
NEWARK, DE -- Junior Jessica
Breault (Southbury, CT) scored two goals and added two
assists as the University of Delaware field hockey team
defeated Hofstra, 5-0, in a conference game Friday night at
Rullo Stadium.

After sophomore Erica LaBar (New Castle,
DE) gave the Blue Hens (8-9, 2-3) a 1-0 lead at the 5:58
mark, sophomore Lauren Carr (West Chester, PA) scored
her third goal of the season to give Delaware a two-goal
lead heading into halftime.
The Blue Hens continued the offensive
onslaught in the second half, scoring three times in a span
of 8:05, as freshman Amber Deimler (Hershey, PA)
scored her first career goal, sandwiched around Breault's
two tallies.
Senior Stephanie Judefind (Wilmington,
DE) stopped five Hofstra shots en route to her seventh
win of the season and sixth shutout.
The Blue Hens return to action on Sunday
when they host CAA rival Drexel in the team's final home
game of the 2002 season. Delaware will also honor its six
seniors - Kim Wagaman, Kelly Coyle, Stephanie Dorsch, Stacey
Thomas, Stephanie Judefind and Katie Kelly - during a
pre-game ceremony. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
