Delaware’s Amanda Warrington left the game just four minutes into the first half to get eight stiches. She returned and played in the game midway through the second half.

Delaware keeper Megan Allen made four saves in the loss, while James Madison keeper Lori Amico recorded five saves.

The Blue Hens are now 6-11 overall (1-6 CAA) after losing six straight games, while the Dukes improve to 10-7 overall (4-2 CAA).
