High School: Three-year starter in field hockey and lacrosse at Ward Melville High School • all-state and all-county selection as a senior • also named All-Long Island and to Newsday All-Long Island Team • was a Long Island All-Tournament Team selection and earned All-Long Island Award in 2004 • led Ward Melville to three Section XI Championships, to the Mid-Long Island title in 2004, and to the Long Island Championship in 2003 • member of 2005 lacrosse team that advanced to county semifinal • captained both teams as a senior • also played one year of basketball • earned Scholar Athlete Award in 2005.
