High School: Four-year standout for the Pocomoke field hockey team • earned first-team All-State honors as a senior and second-team nods as a junior • four-time member of the first-team All-Bayside squad • selected as the Bayside Player of the Year as a senior • led the team to four straight state and regional championships • also led the softball team to the state title in 2009 • member of the National Honor Society and the salutatorian of her graduating class.

Personal: Amber Leigh Holland • daughter of Ricky and Jennifer Holland • has an older sister, Kristina, and a younger brother, Scott • Kristina played field hockey at Towson • plans to major in nursing.
