Host and No. 8 ranked University of Connecticut jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back in posting a 3-1 field hockey victory over No. 19 ranked University of Delaware Sunday in the final round of the Husky Classic. The Blue Hens (2-1), who defeated Providence 2-1 in the first round on Saturday, scored their only goal with 8:03 left to play when sophomore Mia Callahan scored her first career goal off an assist from Julie Byrd. Connecticut (3-0), jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Carrie Mahoney scored a first half goal and Katie Stephens and Katie Boyle scored within six minutes of each other early in the second half. The Huskies outshot Delaware 18-8 as Blue Hen goalkeeper Kelly Adams posted nine saves.
