Jenn Fotiou (Oley HS, Pa.) opened the scoring for the Blue Hens after the Quakers took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Audrey Heinel. Byrd gave the Blue Hens a 2-1 lead four minutes later. Fotiou closed out the first half scoring with 11:11 remaining off a pass from Sara Hills (St. Stephen's HS/Alexanderia, Va.). Penn opened the second half scoring with the first of two goals from Courtney Martin. Byrd scored to make the game 4-2 just four minutes later off an assist from Kelly Cawley. Martin scored for Penn again with 17:42 to bring the Quakers within one goal. Byrd iced the game for Delaware with a goal off a penalty corner with four and half minutes remaining.
