The No. 15 ranked University of Delaware field hockey team continued their dominance in their new facility with a 5-0 victory over Temple University. Rachel Barger (Thomas Jefferson HS/Springfield, Va.) opened the scoring 11 minutes into the game. She assisted on the next goal scored by Tara Urbano (Norristown HS, Pa.) with 13:44 remaining in the first half. Barger opened the second half scoring as well on an unassisted goal six minutes into the half. Barger has six goals already on the season, she entered the season with just one career goal. Freshman Jenn Fotiou (Oley HS, Pa.) scored six minutes assisted by Kelly Cawley (Oley HS, Pa.). The assist was Cawley's 100th point of her career. She is only the fifth player in Delaware history to have 100 career points. Cawley joins Sharon Wilkie, Julie Grandell, Anne Wilkinson, and head coach Carol Miller as the only players with 100 points. Cawley closed out the scoring, with 20:46 remaining, with an assist from Jodi Byrd (Pocomoke HS, Md.). The Blue Hen defense held Temple without a shot or a penalty corner for the game. This is the second time the Hens have accomplished such a feat.
