Junior Mia Callahan
(Hopkinton/Contoocook, NH) scored one goal and
assisted on another as the No. 14 ranked University
of Delaware field hockey team rolled to its sixth
straight victory Saturday with a 3-0 win over host
West Chester. The Blue Hens, who also got goals
from Rachel Barger and Megan McGuin,
won their sixth straight to improve to 8-1 while
the Rams fell to 1-7. Delaware's win streak is the
longest since a six-game streak in 1995 and the 8-1
start is the best since 1994. Barger started the
scoring with her eighth goal of the season with
11:36 left in the opening half on an assist from
Callahan. Just 54 seconds later, Callahan made it
2-0 with an unassisted goal. McGuin capped the
scoring with a goal off an assist from freshman
Juli Byrd with 20:58 left to play. Delaware
goalkeepers Kelly Adams (five saves) and
Kelly Ottati (two saves) combined for the
