2004: One of team's fastest player...returns for third season as a key member of UD defensive secondary...part-time starter who will battle sophomores Rashaad Woodard and Zach Thomas for starting right cornerback spot opposite of All-American candidate Sidney Haugabrook...has played in 23 career games with five starts and has posted 42 tackles (22 solo), broke up five passes, and intercepted two passes...has returned full-time to defensive back position after being used as a running back during spring drills...carried eight times for 22 yards in spring game...has been clocked at 4.36 in the 40-yard dash...team's strongest defensive back with a 335 lb. bench press in spring testing...

2003: Earned second letter as a part-time starter at cornerback...appeared in 14 games and started contests vs. The Citadel, Richmond, and Northeastern...missed games vs. Rhode Island and Navy (sprained left knee vs. New Hampshire) posted 31 tackles for the season (14 solo) and two tackles for loss...also broke up five passes and intercepted a pass vs. Massachusetts...career-high six tackles vs. The Citadel and had four stops each vs. Maine and Villanova...

2002: Joined defensive tackle Tom Parks and deep snapper Brett Wharton as only true freshmen to see action...played in nine games with two starts (Northeastern and Maine)...played key role as fifth back in passing situations...posted 11 tackles (eight solo)...had best game vs. James Madison when he had four tackles, intercepted a pass, and covered almost 50 yards to run down JMU's Jason Mallory at the one-yard line, avoiding a certain Dukes touchdown in a 23-10 win...also had three tackles vs. Northeastern...missed three games late in season (hamstring)....

High School Honors: Two-year standout at Albemarle High School under coach Rick Vrhovac...led team to 6-4 record three years in a row...honorable mention All-State as a senior when he rushed for over 1,700 yards...named Central Virginia Player of the Year, district Player of the Year, and also first team All-Northwest Region, first team All-Commonwealth District, and first team All-Central Virginia...rushed for over 1,500 yards as a junior when he was second team All-Northwest Region, first team All-Western District, and first team All-Central Virginia...played in the Virginia state All-Star game...standout sprinter for track team, placing second in the 100 meters (10.67) at the 2000 AAA state meet...regional and district champion in the 100 meters and 200 meters...ranked as one of the Top 20 high school sprinters in the nation...member of Patriot Athletic Leaders and Men on a Mission clubs...

Personal: Roger Darrell Brown...born Feb. 9, 1984...son of Norman and Patricia Johnson...sport management major with a minor in business...active with the Greater Newark Boy's and Girl's Clubs...standout member of the Delaware track and field teams for coach Jim Fischer...indoors, owns the second best 200 meter time in school history (22.06) and ranks No. 4 in the 55 meters (6.44) and No. 5 in the 60 meters (6.96)...outdoors, has a career best 10.84 in the 100 meters and 22.29 in the 200 meters...placed fifth in both the 100 meters and 4x100 meter relay (with UD football teammates Rashaad Woodard and Sidney Haugabrook) at the 2004 Colonial Athletic Association Outdoor Championships and placed 17th in the 55 meters at the 2004 IC4A Indoor Championships...in his first track season in 2002-03, placed second in the 100 meters and 4x100 meter relay and third in the 200 meters at the CAA Outdoor Championships, leading Delaware to a second place team finish...cousin, Roger Allen, played college football at Elon College in 1997-01.
