2004: Talented linebacker prospect who is expected to add solid support to one of the Blue Hens' strongest units as a redshirt freshman...athletic player with good speed...projected as No. 3 outside linebacker in pre-season depth chart and will also lend support on special teams...younger brother of senior starting linebacker and All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection Mondoe Davis...was named the Blue Hen Touchdown Club's Most Improved Defensive Player at the conclusion of spring drills...posted four tackles in spring game...lifted 225 lbs. 19 times and had 505 lb. squat lift in spring drills to rank among strongest UD linebackers...

2003: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...High School Honors: Standout linebacker at Woodside High School under head coach Danny Dodson, leading team to 8-2 record in 2002, the best season in school history...named first team All-District and All-Region by the Daily Press and was an All-American nominee...posted 92 tackles, including 16 solo stops, as a senior....team captain as a senior...also played tight end and running back...also two-time All-District selection in track and field in the shot put and 4 x 400 meter relay...earned eight varsity letters during career...honor roll student...

Personal: Marquez Ronandoe Davis (first name pronounced "mar-kwez")...born March 4, 1985 in Germany...son of Cervantes and Brenda Davis...father is a retired Army officer...communications major at Delaware...enjoys working as a rap disc jockey in spare time...twin brother, Maguell, was a member of Blue Hen football team in 2003 but left team following the season.
