third on the team in tackles with 84,
including a team-high 58 solo stops...had
2.5 tackles for loss, returned two
interceptions for 52 yards, had a
team-high nine pass breakups, recovered
one fumble (vs. William & Mary),
forced one fumble (Rhode Island), and
blocked one field goal attempt
(Hofstra)...ranked second in Atlantic 10

punts for a school record 433 yards (12.4
avg. - ranking second in Atlantic 10, 18th

school record 127 yards vs. Maine,
including an 80-yard return for a
touchdown late in the third quarter that
keyed the Hens' 24-21 overtime win after
trailing at 21-0 at that point...earned
Atlantic 10 Special Teams Player of the
Week honors for his efforts...80-yard
return was the third longest in school
history...also had punt returns for 36 and
27 yards vs. Wofford in I-AA
semifinals...returned a kickoff 44 yards
vs. Massachusetts and had a 26-yard return
vs. Northeastern and a 25-yard return vs.
Northern Iowa...posted three tackles in
spring game...
2002:
Enjoyed an outstanding sophomore
season...played all four defensive
secondary positions and was a valuable
team leader for the unit...earned second
team All-Atlantic 10 honors...started all
12 games and ranked second on team with 84
tackles, including 63 solo stops...also
had 3.5 tackles for losses of 17
yards...also intercepted two passes for 41
yards, broke up five passes, forced one
fumble, and blocked a punt...posted five
or more tackles 10 times with season-high
12 stops (10 solo) vs. West Chester...also
had 10 tackles and three pass breakups vs.
Villanova and nine tackles each vs. The
Citadel and Maine...enjoyed his finest
game of the season in win over No. 5
ranked Maine as he posted nine tackles
(eight solo), forced a fumble, and
returned an interception 41 yards for a
touchdown...for his efforts, was named
Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week,
Blue Hen Touchdown Club Defensive Player
of the Week, The Sports Network National
Defensive I-AA Player of the Week, and
ECAC Defensive Player of the Week...had
seven tackles, including 2.5 for loss, and
blocked a punt vs. Richmond...was pressed
into punt return duty when Mike Adams went
down with a season-ending hip injury in
the season opener vs. Georgia
Southern...returned 24 punts for 196 yards
and an 8.2 yard average (third in Atlantic
10)...long return was 25 yards vs.
Northeastern...excelled in spring testing,
leading team in agility (side to side
motion) drill (4.01 seconds)...
2001:
Enjoyed an outstanding freshman
season...became the first defensive player
ever to be named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the
Year and Eastern College Athletic
Conference (All-East) Rookie of the
Year...also earned third team All-Atlantic
10 honors following a season that saw him
rank third on the team with 68 tackles,
including a team-high 58 solo stops...
also had five tackles for loss, broke up a
team-high four passes, and blocked a
kick...intercepted a UD freshman
record-tying six passes for 44 yards in
return...tied UD freshman interception
record set by teammate Dan Mulhern in
1999...ranked second in the Atlantic 10
and No. 10 in NCAA I-AA in
interceptions...named Blue Hen Touchdown
Club Defensive Player of the Week three
times (vs. Georgia Southern,
Massachusetts, and Northeastern)...started
