redshirt freshman...strong and athletic
player who could see action at both end or
tackle...projected as No. 3 left tackle
behind seniors Chris Mooney and Brian
Jennings..could also see action on special

breakup in spring game...490 lb. squat
lift was among the best marks among UD
defensive linemen in spring

Sat out redshirt season and retained
freshman eligibility...one of the team's

School Honors: Versatile two-way
player who was a standout at both tight
end and linebacker at Freedom High School
under head coach Jim Morgans...three-year
starter who served as team captain as a
senior...two-time All-conference selection
at linebacker and was a two-time All-Area
selection by both the Allentown Morning
Call and Easton Express Times...for his
career, posted 207 tackles, including 21
for loss...added 12 sacks, intercepted
five passes, and recovered seven
fumbles...as a tight end, caught 47 career
passes for 735 yards and 10
touchdowns...led team to district playoffs
for the first time in school history as a
senior when he was named team MVP...played
in the McDonald's Lehigh Valley All-Star
Classic in June and the Big 33 Game
All-Star Game in July...also lettered four
years as a catcher in baseball and was a
two-time team MVP...lettered three years
as a center in basketball...team captain
as a senior...named school's Outstanding

Jeremy Joseph Kametz (pronounced
"kuh-metz")...born Oct. 7, 1983...son of
John and Brenda Kametz...has one older
brother...sport management major at
Delaware...enjoys golfing and fishing in
spare time...cousin, Mike Polaha, was a
standout guard in basketball for Lehigh
University and led school to 1988 NCAA
Tournament.
