2004: Multi-talented junior receiver...forms outstanding starting group with fellow juniors David Boler, Brian Ingram, and Joe Bleymaier in four-receiver spread offense...can hurt opponents several different ways...possession receiver who runs precise routes and can elude defenders after he catches the ball...always a threat to throw the ball...has played in 27 career games with 25 starts and caught 96 passes for 1,138 yards (11.8 avg.) and nine touchdowns...has caught at least one pass in 10 straight games entering the season...96 receptions are most among active Blue Hen players and leaves him just four catches shy of becoming the seventh player in UD history to reach 100...No. 15 on UD career receiving yardage list (1,138)...has rushed three times for 12 yards in career and hit on 2 of 5 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown...had best vertical jump (34.5 inches) and clean lift (270 lbs.) among all UD receivers during spring testing...had 48-yard catch in spring game...

2003: Key contributor in Delaware passing game...played in all 16 games and started 15 contests, most among UD receivers...team's No. 2 receiver as he caught 50 passes for 579 yards (11.6 avg.) and five touchdowns..also completed 1 of 2 passes for 64 yards and one touchdown...caught two or more passes in 13 games...wore a dark visor shield on helmet for most of the season after medication from a sinus infection affected his vision...hauled in a season-high eight passes for 64 yards and two touchdowns vs. Massachusetts and eight catches for 78 yards the following week vs. Villanova...had five catches for 78 yards and a touchdown vs. Richmond and caught four balls for 75 yards in I-AA title game win over Colgate...caught a 14-yard touchdown pass in NCAA first round win over Southern Illinois...scored winning touchdown on a four-yard pass from Andy Hall in the third overtime to clinch 51-45 win over Massachusetts...attempted two passes off the reverse during the season, throwing a 64-yard scoring strike to G.J. Crescione vs. West Chester and throwing an incomplete pass vs. William & Mary...64-yard pass was the second longest of the season for Delaware...missed spring drills with hernia injury suffered during the fall...

2002: Impressive in his first season of action at wide receiver...appeared in 11 games with 10 starts...sat out season finale vs. Villanova (hernia)...Hens' leading receiver, finishing with 46 receptions for 559 yards (12.2 average) and four touchdowns...fourth in Atlantic 10 Conference in receptions (4.60) and ninth in receiving yards (55.9)...set Delaware freshman record for receptions in a season...caught at least one pass in the first 10 games before being shut out vs. Maine...caught five or more passes four times led by a UD freshman record nine receptions for 119 yards vs. Northeastern and nine receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown vs. James Madison in consecutive games...Blue Hen Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Week vs. Northeastern and Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week vs. James Madison...had five catches for 74 yards vs. Richmond, seven catches for 55 yards and a touchdown vs. New Hampshire, and five receptions for 57 yards again Massachusetts...had season-long 42-yard reception vs. William & Mary...carried the ball once, gaining 12 yards on a reverse against Richmond...attempted three passes during the season, completing a 15-yard pass to QB Andy Hall and throwing incomplete passes vs. Northeastern and New Hampshire...caught first two career touchdowns vs. West Chester from 16 and 18 yards out...moved to wide receiver from defensive back....

2001: Projected to play wide receiver as a true freshman but was moved to defensive back in fall...did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...

High School Honors: Played one season at Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy under head coach John Shuman in 2000...began high school career at Cinnaminson High School where he played quarterback as a junior...moved on to a standout career at Pennsauken HS under head coach Tom Coen as a senior...earned All-Olympic Conference honors as a quarterback in 1999, setting a school single game record with 412 yards and five touchdowns passes...was team MVP in leading Pennsauken to conference title game win over Overbrook...team's Offensive Back of the Year...all-conference sprinter in track and field...earned Lockheed-Martin Minorities Engineering Award...

Personal: Justin John Long...born Feb. 21, 1982...son of John Long...arts and sciences major...has worked with the Burlington County (NJ) Bridge Commission during the summers...father was a police officer for 35 years in Cinnaminson Township, NJ.
