I-AA in scoring defense (15.4), No. 16 in
total defense (303.0), and No. 17 in
rushing defense (114.3)...played in all 16
games with four starts... shared starting
assignments with Dominic Santoli...posted
28 tackles, including 15 solo stops, five
tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks...also had
one pass breakup, recovered a fumble (vs.
Massachusetts), and forced a fumble (vs.
William & Mary)...had season-high four
tackles each vs. William & Mary and in
NCAA semifinal win over Wofford...returned
at full strength after tearing knee
ligaments in 2002 season finale vs.
Villanova...despite injury, still took
part in spring drills...
2002:
Recruited as a linebacker but moved to
defensive end in the spring to fill a need
and had a solid redshirt freshman
season...saw action in 11 games and
started eight contests at right end...did
not play vs. The Citadel due a hamstring
pull suffered the previous week vs.
Richmond...registered 27 tackles on the
season, including 19 solo stops...had 5.5
tackles for losses of 30 yards and 1.5
sacks for 11 yards...added one forced
fumble, intercepted a pass, and broke up
another...posted a career-high five
tackles each vs. Richmond and
Massachusetts and had six other games with
two tackles each...had a tackle for a
12-yard loss vs. Richmond and recorded
only sack vs. Maine...intercepted a pass
and broke up another in home win over No.
11 Northeastern...forced a fumble in the
season finale vs. Villanova...posted four
tackles during the spring
game...
2001:
One of team's top scout players at
linebacker...did not see game action and
retained freshman
