Rich Beverley for starting right guard
spot, replacing All-American Jason
Nerys...one of Hens' most athletic
offensive lineman...will once again see
spot duty in Blue Hen backfield as a
blocking back in short yardage
situations...wears No. 81 when lining up
in backfield...his 29.5 inch vertical
jump, 580 lb. squat lift, and 305 lb.
clean lift were all tops among offensive
linemen in spring testing...
2003:
Contributed to one of the top
offensive units in the Atlantic
10...helped pave the way for an offense
that ranked ninth in NCAA I-AA in scoring
offense (34.7) and No. 20 in rushing
offense (207.6)...saw action in 14 games
and started at left guard in five games
(Richmond, Hofstra, William & Mary,
New Hampshire, Rhode Island)... shared
duties with Mike Buchman in place of
starter Jared Wray (back injury)...did not
see action vs. Massachusetts and
Villanova...played a key role in Blue Hen
running attack, lining up as a blocking
back in several short yardage
situations...saw first career action after
sitting out his first two seasons...former
defensive lineman who was moved to offense
in spring...
