2004: Redshirt freshman...promising running back who could have an outstanding future for the Blue Hens...shifty runner and the fastest player in UD backfield...looking to make a contribution in Hens' one-back offense with the loss of All-American Germaine Bennett (UD record 1,625 yards in 2003) and 2,000 career-yard rusher Antawn Jenkins...not listed in pre-sea-son depth chart after not taking part in spring drills due to a violation of team rules...

2003: Lone running back in 2003 recruiting class...made an impression on coaching staff with out-standing running for scout team in fall practices...

High School Honors: Speedy halfback and kick returner from Warwick High School where he played under head coach Tommy Reamon...earned first team All-Peninsula District and second team All-Region by the Daily Press as a senior in 2002...rushed 189 times for 1,104 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior...named as one of the top 25 juniors in the state of Virginia...also competes for basketball and track and field team at Warwick...first team All-Peninsula District and a state qualifier in the high jump...

Personal: Lonnie Darnell Starks...born May 8, 1985...son of Larry and Vanessa Starks...Vanessa is the head girl's basketball coach at Warwick and attended Delaware State University...arts and sciences major...has worked at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA during the summer...competed for Delaware indoor track team for coach Jim Fischer in 2004 and had team's best high jump mark (6-2 3/4) and had season best times in the 60 meters (7.38) and 200 meters (23.86).
