2004: Outstanding prospect at defen-sive back for Blue Hens...second season as a key member of Delaware secondary...will battle for starting cornerback spot opposite All-American candidate Sidney Haugabrook with junior Roger Brown and fellow sophomore Zach Thomas...expected to once again be a key member of special teams unit as well...can also return kicks...one of team's fastest players with sprinter speed...collected four tackles in spring game...changed number from 43 to 15 this season...posted marks of 310 lbs. in the bench press and 445 lbs. in the squat lift in spring testing...

2003: One of just four true freshmen to see action for the Blue Hens along with defensive tackle Bubba Jespersen, linebacker KeiAndre Hepburn, and fellow defensive back Nicos Chavis...earned letter as he appeared in nine games as a reserve...registered five tackles for the season, including two solo stops...recovered a fum-ble off a kickoff and returned it four yards in NCAA quarterfinal win over Northern lowa...was set to sit out a redshirt season but was pressed into action in college debut vs. West Chester...suffered a hamstring pull vs. West Chester and missed the next four games before returning vs. Navy...had two tackles vs. Navy and one each vs. West Chester, Maine, and Southern Illinois...

High School Honors: Speedy defensive back who enjoyed a standout career at Bullis School in Potomac, MD under head coach Walt King...three-year, two-way starter at cornerback and running back at Bullis and led team to a three-year record of 25-3 during his career...rushed for over 3,000 yards in his four-year career...earned second team All-State honors as a senior when he rushed for 1,062 yards and 16 touchdowns...earned first team All-County honors at cornerback by the Montgomery County Journal as a junior and was a second team selection in 2002...also one of the area's top sprinters in track and field and earned All-American honors in sprints...

Personal: Robert Rashaad Woodard (pronounced "ruh-shahd wood-urd")...born Oct. 5, 1984...son of Gil and Irma Woodard...business major...older sister, Talea, attends Florida A&M...standout sprinter for the Delaware track teams for coach Jim Fischer...placed fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay (with UD football teammates Roger Brown end Sidney Haugabrook) and 12th in the 100 meters at the Colonial Athletic Association Outdoor Championships last spring...during the indoor season, set school record in the 200 meters (22.04) and posted second best all-time mark in 60 meters (6.94)...during the outdoor season, had season personal best mark of 11.16 in the 100 meters.
