RICHMOND, Va. -- For the second straight week, two University of Delaware football players have been honored by the Colonial Athletic Association for their performances on field.

Blue Hen junior quarterback Pat Devlin (top right) was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week while redshirt freshman cornerback Marcus Burley (bottom right) was tabbed as the CAA Rookie of the Week.

The two led the University of Delaware to a dominating 43-27 CAA victory over previously No. 12 ranked University of Massachusetts before a sold-out crowd Saturday night at Delaware Stadium.

In addition to Devlin and Burley, New Hampshire senior linebacker Terrence Klein was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week and New Hampshire senior kicker Tom Manning was picked as CAA Special Teams Player of the Week.

Devlin (Downingtown East HS/Downingtown, Pa.) had another outstanding effort as he led the Blue Hens’ 43-27 upset win over No. 12 Massachusetts.

Devlin is the first CAA player to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks since QB Rodney Landers of JMU was honored last Sept. 15-22 and the first Blue Hen to accomplish the feat since QB Andy Hall received the award in back-to-back weeks vs. Massachusetts and Villanova in 2003.

Burley (Highland Springs HS/Richmond, Va.), who started his third straight game at cornerback for injured starter Tyrone Grant, recorded a team-high seven tackles, including six solo stops, and returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.
