NEWARK, Del. -- Beginning this season, complimentary football tickets for University of Delaware students will be available for pick-up throughout the week in advance of all Blue Hens home games.
Advance pick-up will provide UD students an opportunity to guarantee their seats to all six home games to be played at Delaware Stadium.
Student tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability through the box offices in the Trabant University Center and the Bob Carpenter Center.
There is a limit of one ticket per student with a valid UD identification card. A valid ID must be presented upon pick-up, and students cannot pick up tickets for other students.
Advance ticket pick-up only applies to the game being played in a given week. Tickets to future home games will be available the week in advance of those particular games.
Day of game student tickets will be subject to availability. If any remaining student tickets are available on game day, they can be picked up at the Bob Carpenter Center Box Office and, again, a valid UD ID must be presented.
Tickets in advance of the Sept. 4 game against West Chester and in advance of the Sept. 12 game against Richmond, the defending NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision national champion, will be available at the:
• Trabant University Center Box Office from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday
through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday.
• Bob Carpenter Center Box Office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday
through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday.
Tickets in advance of the Sept. 19 game against Delaware State, the Oct. 10 game against Massachusetts, the Oct. 31 game against James Madison and the Nov. 7 game against Hofstra will be available at the:
• Trabant University Center Box Office from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday
through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday.
• Bob Carpenter Center Box Office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday
through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday.
UD Head Coach K.C. Keeler encourages students "to be a big part" of the 2009 season.
"Our team thrives on your enthusiasm and we are anxious to hear you cheering us on and supporting your Blue Hens," Keeler said.
The Blue Hens will feature a new quarterback in Pat Devlin, who transferred from Penn State, and the return of one of the best defenses in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Expanded shuttle bus service will be available on game day. Shuttle schedules begin two and a half hours before kickoff and continue until one hour after the game has ended. Buses will run continuously through that period.
