High School: Two-year letterwinner at Eastern Regional High School where he played for his father, Dan Spittal…named to second team All-South Jersey and third team All-State as a junior…also was three-year letterwinner in baseball as a pitcher and shortstop and a two-year letterwinner in basketball as a point guard…did not play sports senior year following knee injury in first football scrimmage.

At Delaware: Will provide depth at wide receiver in first season at Delaware.

Personal: Matthew Daniel Spittal…born October 26, 1985…son of Dan and Katie Spittal…both parents are teachers…father played college football at NCAA Division II Lock Haven and was a starting quarterback…as a younger sister…sports management major at Delaware….would like to become a sports agent.
