High School: Speedy defensive back who enjoyed a standout career at Bullis School in Potomac, MD under head coach Walt King...three-year, two-way starter at cornerback and running back at Bullis and led team to a three-year record of 25-3 during his career...rushed for over 3,000 yards in his four-year career...earned second team All-State honors as a senior when he rushed for 1,062 yards and 16 touchdowns...earned first team All-County honors at cornerback by the Montgomery County Journal as a junior and was a second team selection in 2002...also one of the area’s top sprinters in track and field and earned All-American honors in sprints...

At Delaware: One of three returning defensive backs in Blue Hen secondary and one of just four returning starters on defense...track sprinter who is one of the team’s fastest players....third-year as a regular and second as a starter at cornerback...will also play special teams and serve as team’s primary kickoff returner...has appeared in 22 career games with eight starts...career totals include 62 tackles (42 solo), two interceptions, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery...has posted marks of 310 lbs. in the bench press and 445 lbs. in the squat lift in spring testing...

2004: Took over starting cornerback spot in pre-season and started first eight games of the season before giving way to Roger Brown...led team to 9-4 record, Atlantic 10 Conference title, and a berth in the NCAA I-AA quarterfinals...played key role in all 13 games and recorded 57 tackles to rank seventh on the team...had 40 solo stops, broke up four passes, and recovered a fumble...tied for team lead with two interceptions...second on team with 13 kickoff returns for 373 yards and 24.9 average...69-yard kickoff return vs. Hofstra was the second longest of the season...recorded career-high 11 tackles each vs. New Hampshire in the season opener and in regular season win over William & Mary...also intercepted a pass vs. New Hampshire and also picked one off vs. Villanova....recovered a fumble vs. James Madison...also had five tackles vs. Villanova and James Madison...returned four kickoffs for 128 yards vs. Hofstra and also had a 39-yard return in NCAA I-AA playoff loss to William & Mary....

2003: One of just four true freshmen to see action for the Blue Hens along with defensive tackle Bubba Jespersen, linebacker KeiAndre Hepburn, and fellow defensive back Nicos Chavis...earned letter as he appeared in nine games as a reserve...led Delaware to 15-1 record, the NCAA I-AA national title, and the Atlantic 10 Conference championship...registered five tackles for the season, including two solo stops...recovered a fumble off a kickoff and returned it four yards in NCAA quarterfinal win over Northern lowa...was set to sit out a redshirt season but was pressed into action in college debut vs. West Chester...suffered a hamstring pull vs. West Chester and missed the next four games before returning vs. Navy...had two tackles vs. Navy and one each vs. West Chester, Maine, and Southern Illinois...

Personal: Robert Rashaad Woodard (pronounced "ruh-shahd wood-urd")...born Oct. 5, 1984...son of Gil and Irma Woodard...business major...older sister, Talea, attends Florida A&M...standout sprinter for the Delaware track teams for coach Jim Fischer...placed fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay (with UD football teammates Roger Brown and Sidney Haugabrook) and 12th in the 100 meters at the Colonial Athletic Association outdoor championships in 2004...during the indoor season, set school record in the 200 meters (22.04) and posted second best all-time mark in 60 meters (6.94)...during the outdoor season, had season personal best mark of 11.16 in the 100 meters...during the 2005 indoor season, captured the Delaware Invitational 60 meter championship and competed at the IC4A regional championships, placing 32nd in the 60 meters...did not compete during the outdoor season.
