High School: Standout center at Southern Regional High School for head coach Chuck Donohue...led team to 2001 Group 4 state playoffs...three-year varsity starter who served as team captain...named to the New Jersey Football Coaches Association Super 100 All-State team...named All-Ocean County and All-Shore Conference and earned school's Scholar-Athlete Award and National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award...also competed in winter and spring track (shot put, discus, javelin) and earned nine letters...placed 13th in the state discus competition as a senior...member of World Language National Honor Society and Foreign Language (French) Honor Society.

At Delaware: Fourth-year member of squad and a third-year starter on Blue Hen offensive line...has played in 24 career games with 14 starts...two-year letterwinner...one of seven returning offensive linemen with starting experience for Delaware...slated to open season as the starter at right guard..one of team’s biggest and strongest players...posted team’s best total in squat lift during spring drills...versatile performer who can also play tackle...2005: Started all 11 games as a sophomore, playing every offensive line position except center...started one game at left tackle, two at left guard, five at right guard, and three at right tackle...helped pave the way for All-American running back Omar Cuff and offensive attack that ranked third in the Atlantic 10 and 20th in NCAA I-AA in rushing offense (119.64)...team went 6-5 for head coach K.C. Keeler...2004: Earned first letter as he appeared in all 13 games with three starts at left guard for team that went 9-4, won the Atlantic 10 title, and advanced to the I-AA quarterfinals...led offense that ranked third in the Atlantic 10 in rushing offense (279.4)...started first two games vs. New Hampshire and Towson and also started vs. Navy...became first UD redshirt freshman to start on offensive line for Hens since Brian Cook in 1995...2003: Sat out as a redshirt to retain freshman eligibility...team went 15-1, won the Atlantic 10 Conference title, and captured the NCAA I-AA national championship.

Personal: Richard William Beverley...born Feb. 6, 1985...son of John and Karen Beverley...both parents are teachers and graduates of Rowan (NJ) University...biology major at Delaware...has a younger sister...enjoys fishing in his spare time...has worked as a carpenter and painter during the summers.
