High School: Competed in football, lacrosse, and track and field at Montgomery High School...started at center as a senior in football for head coach Zoran Milich...team captain as a senior when he was named first team Skyland Conference, first team All-Suburban by the Trenton Times, Courier News All-Area honorable mention, and Newark Star Ledger second team All-Somerset County...three-year participant in indoor and outdoor track in the shot put and discus...played one year in lacrosse as a goalkeeper...honor roll student....Eagle Scout.

At Delaware: Sophomore and a third-year member of the squad...walk-on who will add depth to the tight end unit that includes junior Robbie Agnone and sophomore Josh Baker...projected as the No. 3 player on the depth chart entering the season...previously moved to tight end spot from offensive line...2006: Did not see game action as a reserve tight end...was No. 4 on depth chart behind All-American Ben Patrick, Agnone, and Baker...team went 5-6 under head coach K.C. Keeler...2005: Did not see game action as a backup offensive lineman and retained freshman eligibility...team went 6-5.

Personal: Christopher William “Chris” Hyncik...born May 30, 1986...son of Bill and Marilyn Hyncik...hotel, restaurant, and institutional management major at Delaware with a minor in accounting and finance...has two sisters and a brother...both parents are Delaware graduates...enjoys fly fishing and bowling in spare time...father was a swimmer at Delaware in 1973-74, mother was a swimmer at Delaware in 1974-75, uncle Lee J. Hyncik played tennis at Delaware in 1978-80, and brother, Adam, played basketball at Lehigh and was a backup guard as a senior in 2006-07.
