High School: Receiver with outstanding size who could also play linebacker...also played strong safety for Trinity Pawling and head coach David Coratti...attended George W. Fowler High School before transfer...led Trinity Pawling team to 9-0 record in 2005 as team outscored opponents 329-86...team defeated Phillips Andover to capture New England Class A championship...as a senior, earned first team All-New England Prep A honors after catching 21 passes for 543 yards (25.0 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns while posting 40 tackles and three interceptions, returning one 96 yards for a touchdown...as a junior, earned first team All-Erickson Conference honors as he caught 34 passes for 714 yards (21.0 avg.) and nine touchdowns to go with 65 tackles on defense....also participated in track as a high jumper and has gone as high as 6-10...2005 New England high jump champion in 2005 and champion at Empire State Games during the summer of 2005.

At Delaware: Talented receiver with good size...big target for quarterback Joe Flacco...joins a deep and talented wide receiver corps that returns three starters in Aaron Love, Kervin Michaud, and Mark Duncan...projected to open season as No. 3 behind Duncan and junior Jon Heydt in Blue Hens’ three-receiver set...enjoyed an outstanding spring practice campaign...caught three passes for 73 yards, including a 42-yarder in Blue-White Spring Game in April...2006: Did not see game action as a true freshman and retained freshman eligibility...team went 5-6 under head coach K.C. Keeler.

Personal: Martwain Christopher Johnston...born Feb. 28, 1986...son of Stephan Johnston...one of five children...undecided on major...has worked at Southwest Center for Minorities during the summer.
