2007 Season: Saw action in four games at offensive guard as a backup but did not earn a letter...team went 11-4 and advanced to the FCS national title game under head coach K.C. Keeler...saw action as a backup in wins over West Chester, Rhode Island, Monmouth, and Delaware State...part of an offense that led the Colonial Athletic Association in scoring, total offense, and passing offense.
2006 Season: Was expected to see action as a true freshmen for Hens due to his play in pre-season, but suffered a season-ending leg injury in pre-season drills and sat out the entire season...retained freshman eligibility...team went 5-6.
Personal: Christopher Joseph “Chris” Daino (“day-no”)...born Sept. 11, 1987...son of Steve and Phylis Daino...youngest of four children...criminal justice major at Delaware...enjoys playing baseball and golf in his spare time...uncle, Bill Cook, played football at the University of Arizona...cousin, Lou Tilley, played football at Wake Forest and once served as the sports director of CN8 Television in Philadelphia, which broadcasts several Delaware games each year. |
