High School: Posted 128 tackles, two touchdowns, and an interception his senior year as captain at Dunbar High School…led Dunbar to 2003 and 2004 DCIAA Championships under head coach Craig Jeffries…played in Good Samaritan Bowl…All-DCIAA second team selection…2004 championship game MVP.

At Delaware: First year transfer from Syracuse...a fantastic addition to an already stellar core at defensive end that includes Matt Marcorelle and Ronald Talley...should make a valuable contribution defensively, and helps make Delaware one of the strongest defensive units in the Colonial Athletic Association.

At Syracuse: Three-year team member who lettered two years for the Big East member Orangemen…enrolled in the College of Human Ecology at Syracuse...member of teams that posted three-year record of 7-28 under head coach Greg Robinson....in two seasons posted 69 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one block.

2007 Season: One of nine players to start every game…one of top tackles on the defensive front as he recorded 49 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and one sack...also blocked a kick...registered a career-high eight tackles, including a sack, vs. Pittsburgh and also posted seven stops vs. Rutgers....also had six tackles and blocked a PAT attempt vs. Connecticut and posted five stops each vs. Miami (Ohio), Washington and Iowa.

2006 Season: Sporting News Freshman All-Big East selection…one of 40 players to participate in every game…collected 20 tackles on the season and one sack for seven yards...had season-high six tackles vs. Rutgers and also added four tackles vs. Cincinnati, and three stops, including a sack, vs. Connecticut...team went 4-8 under Robinson.

2005 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 1-10 under Robinson.

Personal: Brandon Jared Gilbeaux ("gill-bo") …born June 9, 1987 in Washington, D.C. …son of Reba Ann Hicks Gilbeaux and Craig Gilbeaux Sr.…physical education major at Delaware...has two sisters and one brother.
