High School: Three-year stater at Pope John Paul II for head coach Gene Boley...named first team All-State Division AA as an offensive tackle...first team Palm Beach Post All Area and Sun Sentinel all-county honorable mention, and Boca Raton News all-conference first team as a senior...team’s offensive Most Valuable Player in 2005...in 2004 was named first team All-State Division AA, first team Sun Sentinel All-County, and first team Palm Beach Post all-area...led Pope John Paul II to the first round of the playoffs in 2003 and 2004...two-year member of the basketball team as a center.

At Delaware: Third-year member of the squad as a backup offensive lineman...has yet to see game action but adds depth to a young unit that lost three starters...hoping to be ready this fall after suffering a dislocated ankle during spring drills...projected as the No. 4 right tackle entering the season...versatile and mobile player who can play guard and center.

2007 Season: Did not see game action as a backup offensive guard...team went 11-4 and advanced to the FCS national title game under head coach K.C. Keeler.

2006 Season: Did not see game action as a backup offensive lineman and retained freshman eligibility...team went 5-6.

Personal: Chad Allen Horton...born Nov. 1, 1987...son of George and Wendy Horton...has two brothers and one sister...business management major at Delaware...enjoys fishing in his spare time...father played college football...brother, Chris, was a standout quarterback at NCAA FCS Jacksonville (FL) University where he was a three-year starter and set the school career passing yardage mark...threw for 1,958 yards and 12 touchdowns for Dolphins team that went 3-8 in 2007.
