High School: Handled all kicks and punts at West Deptford High School for head coach Clyde Folsom...team went 11-1, won the Colonial Conference, and advanced to state championship game this past fall and went 9-2 and won league title in 2005...two-time All-South Jersey selection, two-time All-Gloucester County pick, and two-time All-Colonial Conference honoree as a kicker and punter...did not start playing football until his junior year of high school...hit 4 of 5 field goals and 45 of 47 extra points as a senior in 2006 when he had 24 touchbacks...as a junior, hit 4 of 5 field goals and 52 of 56 extra points with five touchbacks...also competed in basketball (point guard), soccer (midfielder), and golf at West Deptford High School and earned seven varsity letters.

At Delaware: Second-year member of the squad as a redshirt freshman...one of four kickers on the squad, joining All-American Jon Striefsky, Michigan State transfer Ed Wagner, and senior walk-on Matt Calio...will enter season No. 2 on depth chart behind Striefsky for extra points and field goals...can also add backup support as a punter.

2007 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...member of Blue Hen traveling squad and was in uniform on the sidelines during team’s NCAA playoff run as a backup to Striefsky...team posted an 11-4 record and a berth in the FCS national title game for head coach K.C. Keeler...only kicker in Delaware’s 2007 recruiting class.

Personal: Michael Mark “Mike” Perry...born August 20, 1988 in Woodbury, NJ...son of Mark and Susan Perry....sport management major...enjoys surfing in spare time....mother played collegiate field hockey at Saint Joseph’s (PA) University in 1984-87....oldest of three children...works with father in family swimming pool business during the summers.
