
High School: Competed in football and indoor and outdoor track and field at Middletown High School...earned three letters in football as a wide receiver and defensive back for head coach Mark DelPercio...two-time All-Blue Hen Conference selection at wide receiver...team advanced to the state semifinals in 2004 and lost in the state title game in 2005...earned four letters in outdoor track and two indoors as a 400 and 800 meter specialist...honor roll student.
At Delaware: Walk-on...third-year team member who will add support to receiver corps that returns three two-year starters, including All-American Aaron Love.
2007 Season: Did not see game action...team posted an 11-4 record and a berth in the FCS national title game for head coach K.C. Keeler.
2006 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 6-5.
Personal: Daniel Joseph Potts...born July 7, 1987 in Pittsburgh, Pa....son of Chris and Debbie Potts...engineering technology major at Delaware...middle of three sons...older brother, Mike, finished his career as a part-time starting quarterback at Delaware rival William & Mary last fall where he threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns in 2007 and for 1,559 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2006...younger brother, Brian, was an All-State quarterback at Caravel (Del.) Academy in 2007 and is a freshman at Blue Hen rival Towson this fall. |
