High School: Standout in football at Pope John XXIII High School...three-year starter who played wide receiver, defensive back, and linebacker...three teams combined to go 30-3 during his career...earned first team all-league, All-West Jersey and All-Non-Public honors as a senior...also played lacrosse...honor roll student.

At Delaware: Second-year member of squad...redshirt freshman receiver who will add depth to a talented unit that returns three two-year starters, including All-American Aaron Love...listed as No. 4 receiver behind Kervin Michaud, Mark Mackey, and Mark Schenauer on Blue Hen pre-season depth chart.

2007 Season: Walk-on who did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 11-4 under head coach K.C. Keeler.

Personal: Robert “Bobby” Russo...born Feb. 21, 1989...son of Robert and Mickie Russo...has one older brother, Anthony, played football for two years at NCAA Division III Muhlenberg (Pa.) College...marketing major at Delaware...has worked at a deli during the summers...cousin of former Delaware wide receiver and member of 2003 national championship team G.J. Crescione.
