
High School: Three-sport standout in football, basketball, and baseball at Absegami High School...earned three letters in each sport and was captain of each team...played quarterback and wide receiver in football for head coach Doug Coleman and led team to 2006 state title as a quarterback...two-time All-State selection in football at each position...team Most Valuable Player as a junior in 2005 as a wide receiver when he earned all-conference and All-South Jersey honors...moved to quarterback as a senior in 2006 and also earned all-conference and All-South Jersey laurels...National Honor Society student.
At Delaware: Former walk-on who earned scholarship money during the spring...hard-working and talented receiver who will add depth to a outstanding unit that returns three two-year starters, including All-American Aaron Love...projected as No. 3 wide receiver behind starter Kervin Michaud and Mark Mackey.
2007 Season: Did not see game action as a backup wide receiver...retained freshman eligibility...made traveling squad for FCS national championship game and was in uniform on sidelines but did not play...outstanding member of the scout team.
Personal: Mark Schenauer (“shen-hour”)...born April 7, 1989...son of Randy and Anna Schenauer...both parents are graduates of Montclair State University...father played football and mother played field hockey in college...has an older sister...finance major at Delaware...enjoys surfing and working on cars in spare time...began playing football at age five...worked at White Clay Creek Country Club in Stanton, Del. during the summer. |
