High School: One of the nation’s top-rated high school quarterbacks at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio...was ranked as the No. 17 quarterback in the 2005 recruiting class by Scout.com, ahead of 2007 Heisman Trophy finalists Colt Brennan of Hawaii and Chase Daniel of Missouri...threw for 1,159 yards and 13 touchdowns with just three interceptions as a senior, leading his team to the second round of the state tournament...team went 11-1 for the season...threw 12 touchdown passes as a junior...also was a standout basketball player for four years and led his team to the state finals as a senior.

At Delaware: First-year transfer from Ohio State where he was a backup the last two seasons...will have junior eligibility...one of three quarterbacks on the Blue Hen roster...will battle redshirt freshman Lou Ritacco and sophomore Sean Hakes for starting spot as the Blue Hens replace All-American and Baltimore Ravens first round draft pick Joe Flacco who enjoyed a record-setting season in 2007...has great size at 6-6 and 245 lbs., possesses a strong, accurate arm, and is a fiery competitor...has been recognized by several pre-season publications as one of the top newcomers in the nation at the FCS level...was named Lindy’s College Football Preview Magazine national Newcomer of the Year and The Sports News’ Colonial Athletic Association Newcomer of the Year...also earned pre-season honorable mention All-American notice by Consensus Draft Services website...had a solid spring and shared quarterback duties with Ritacco in spring game, completing 12 of 25 passes for 162 yards with a 30-yard touchdown pass to Martwain Johnston...also rushed 10 times for seven yards.

At Ohio State: Three-year backup quarterback at Ohio State, playing under head coach Jim Tressel...was part of teams that advanced to the three bowl games, including two Bowl Championship Series national title games...teams went a combined 33-5 overall and won three Big 10 titles with a league mark of 22-2...for his career completed 18 of 26 passes for 134 yards.

2007 Season: Lost out to Todd Boeckman for the starting quarterback spot in pre-season and battled for the No. 2 spot with Antonio Henton...played in the first seven games in a backup role as a sophomore and completed 17 of 25 passes for 129 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions...rushed 10 times for 10 yards and scored touchdown vs. Kent...completed 3 of 6 passes for eight yards and ran for 27 yards on three carries vs. Youngstown State, hit on 6 of 8 passes for 36 yards against Akron, was 1 of 2 for six yards vs. Northwestern, and hit on 7 of 9 passes for 79 yards with a career-long toss of 28 yards against Kent...moved to tight end position late in the season...team went 11-2, won the Big 10 title with a 7-1 mark, and lost to LSU in the BCS national championship game in New Orleans.

2006 Season: Played in two games as the team’s No. 3 quarterback as a redshirt freshman...completed only pass attempt for five yards vs. Cincinnati...also saw action vs. Bowling Green...led by Heisman Trophy winner in quarterback Troy Smith, team went 12-1, won the Big 10 title with undefeated mark of 8-0, and lost to Florida in the BCS national title game in Glendale, Calif.

2005 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 10-2, shared the Big 10 title with a 7-1 mark, and defeated Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

Personal: Robert Bryan “Robby” Schoenhoft (“shown-hoft”)...son of Rob and Debbie Schoenhoft...has four older sisters and a younger brother...father played football at Miami (Ohio) and an uncle, Andy Schoenhoft, played football and baseball at Duke...sister, Kelly, was a volleyball player at Valparaiso...brother, Yuri, is from Russia...majoring in human services at Delaware.
