High School: Enjoyed an outstanding career at Renaissance High School in Detroit, Mich....rated 11th on the Best in the Midwest team by the Detroit Free Press...named to Detroit Free Press Division 4 All-State team and to the All-Detroit team as a defensive lineman in 2003...made 80 tackles, including 42 solo stops, as a senior...also had 12 tackles for loss and five quarterback sacks...honorable mention pick in 2003 on Detroit News all-metro team...helped Renaissance post a 6-4 mark as a senior...had 122 tackles and 30 tackles for loss as a junior in 2002.

At Delaware: Second-year transfer from Notre Dame...one of three Notre Dame transfers on squad, joining first-year additions in running back Junior Jabbie and defensive back Leo Ferrine...senior who teams with All-American Matt Marcorelle to form one of the top defensive end combinations in the nation...part of one of the top defensive units in the Colonial Athletic Association...looking to bounce back from ankle injury that hobbled him for the second half of the 2007 season and subsequent surgery that forced him to sit out spring drills...imposing physical presence who uses speed and size to provide an effective pass rush from the outside...selected as a pre-season All-American by Consensus Draft Services website and was a pre-season second team All-CAA pick by Phil Steele’s College Football Preview Magazine.

2007 Season: Had a solid first season at defensive end for the Blue Hens but was limited during the second half of the season and in the post-season due to an ankle injury suffered vs. Navy in late October...helped lead team to an 11-4 record and a berth in the FCS national championship game under head coach K.C. Keeler...helped team nearly triple its quarterback sack total from the previous year...appeared in 13 games with eight starts on the season...missed James Madison and Richmond games due to an ankle injury suffered the previous week vs. Navy...had started the first eight games of the year before injury...collected 43 tackles on the season, including 19 solo stops...added six tackles for loss (24 yards) and three sacks (21 yards) to go with one interception, three pass breakups, and one blocked kick...posted season-high six tackles vs. Rhode Island and added five vs. Monmouth, New Hampshire, and Navy, and four vs. William & Mary, West Chester, and Northeastern...intercepted a pass vs. West Chester...had two tackles for loss vs. Towson and recorded sacks against Rhode Island, Towson, and Northeastern...named Blue Hen Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Week vs. West Chester and Rhode Island...blocked a field goal attempt vs. New Hampshire....transfered to Delaware following the fall semester and was enrolled at UD for the spring semester...took part in spring drills and recorded four tackles, including two quarterback sacks, in spring game.

At Notre Dame: Played two seasons at national FBS power Notre Dame under head coach Charlie Weis...part-time starter who played in 17 games with the Fighting Irish and recorded 34 tackles, including 10 solo stops.

2006 Season: Played in six games as a backup defensive end before leaving team at mid-season...departure was mutually agreed upon with coaching staff...squad went on to post a record of 10-3 and lost to LSU 41-14 in the Sugar Bowl...had 11 tackles (one solo stop) and a half-sack.

2005 Season: Played in 11 games with five starts and led team to record of 9-3 and a 34-20 loss to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl...recorded 23 tackles (nine solo) to go with one quarterback sack...had career-high seven tackles and a sack vs. Brigham Young in first career start...also had four tackles vs. USC...had three tackles and recovered a fumble in the Fiesta Bowl.

2004 Season: Did not see game action in first season and retained freshman eligibility.

Personal: Ronald Talley...born Feb. 21, 1986 in Detroit, Mich....son of Tina Turner...earned degree in mass communications from Delaware in May...currently enrolled in graduate school at Delaware as a sport management major...would like to enter film and video production field after graduation...has worked with UD Media Services Department the last two summers...has distinctive deep voice that he used in making promotional radio commercial for award-winning UD ticket sales prior to 2007 season...majored in film, television, and theatre at Notre Dame.
