High School: Three-year starter and four-year letterwinner at Mt. St. Michael Academy for Head Coach Mario Valentini...first team all-league and Daily News All-City selection as a senior linebacker...also named a Putnam County all-star...led the team with 981 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior in 2005...led the defense, which ranked third in the league, with 92 tackles including 10 tackles for a loss, three sacks, and two fumble recoveries...served as team captain in 2005...named first team all-league and honorable mention all-city as a junior...led the 2004 team to the AAA Conference Bowl Championship...participated in CHSFL Senior Bowl All-Star game...posted 65 tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks as a junior...three-year varsity performer as a sprinter for outdoor track and field team...honor roll student...member of Afro-Caribbean Club.

At Delaware: Third-year member of the team as a sophomore...backup linebacker and a key member of the Blue Hen special teams unit...one of the team’s hardest hitters...projected as the team’s No. 2 right linebacker behind returning starter Walter Blair to open the season...recorded one tackle in the spring game.

2007 Season: Regained freshman eligibility despite playing in one game as a true freshman in 2006...awarded an extra season by the NCAA...appeared in all 15 games as backup linebacker and leading special teams performer...recorded 27 tackles for the season, including 16 solo stops, and had two tackles for losses of seven yards...led team to 11-4 record and a berth in the FCS national championship game under head coach K.C. Keeler...enjoyed best outing vs. West Chester when he posted a career-high seven tackles, including four solo hits...also had four tackles vs. Rhode Island, three each vs. Monmouth and Richmond, and two against William & Mary, Villanova, and Southern Illinois...registered tackles for loss vs. Monmouth and in NCAA semifinal win over Southern Illinois...had five tackles (three solo) in the spring game.

2006 season: True freshman who was expecting to sit out redshirt season before injuries forced him into action at mid-season in game vs. Northeastern...one of six true freshmen to see action on Delaware defensive unit...enjoyed a solid spring practice...posted three tackles (all solo) before leaving the game with a season-ending ankle injury...team went 5-6.

Personal: Brian DeShea Void...born April 6, 1988...son of Wanda Void and Dennis Void...resides with his mother...has one older brother...human services major at Delaware...father is a parole officer and mother is a legal assistant...career goal is to build a high school with brother and teach and coach...brother, Dennis, played football at NCAA FCS member Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa....as a running back, Dennis ran for 170 yards and a touchdown in leading Duquesne to a 7-3 record in 2006 and ran for 66 yards on 20 carries in three games for the 6-4 Dukes during the 2007 summer season...cousin, Jerod Void, played football at Purdue...enjoys video games, basketball, and dancing in his spare time...worked as a youth conselor at the Glen Mills School in Pennsylvania during the summer.
