High School: Standout in football and basketball at Highland Springs High School...high school teammate of Blue Hen redshirt freshman defensive back Marcus Burley...two-year letterwinner in football as a linebacker for coach Scott Burton...team went 8-3 and won the district title in 2005 and posted a 9-3 mark and was the regional runner-up in 2006...two-year letterwinner in basketball...led team to 27-2 record and the state title as a senior in 2007...team also won district title with a 19-8 mark his junior year...National Honor Society...class valedictorian...active with church groups in community.

At Delaware: Third-year member of the squad...former walk-on who has earned a scholarship this past spring...sophomore who will be a second-year starter at outside linebacker this season...has outstanding speed and excels on pass defense...has added about 10 lbs. to his frame...expected to contribute on special teams once again...did not see action in spring drills due to foot surgery.

2008 Season: One of team's most pleasant surprises...former walk-on who played a key part of Delaware defense that ranked No. 2 in the CAA in scoring defense (20.8 ppg) and No. 1 in red-zone defense (.722)...started season as a backup outside linebacker and special teams performer before taking over starting berth due to injuries...responded by playing in all 12 games with seven starts and ranked No. 2 on the team with 75 tackles, including 33 solo stops...ranked No. 23 in CAA and No. 14 among linebackers in tackles (6.2 per game)...ranked second among all CAA freshmen in tackles (behind Jake Trantin of William & Mary)...had 6.5 tackles for losses of 34 yards, posted 2.5 sacks, broke up five passes, and forced two fumbles...named Blue Hen Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Week vs. William & Mary and Hofstra...recorded seven or more tackles five times with career-high 14 in season finale vs. Villanova...also had 12 stops vs. top ranked James Madison and vs. William & Mary, and seven stops each vs. Maine and Hofstra...had two sacks vs. Hofstra and assisted on one against Villanova...sack was among three tackles for loss against Villanova...forced fumbles vs. Richmond and Villanova...team went 4-8.

2007 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 11-4 and advanced to the FCS national championship game...made the traveling squad to the national championship game but did not see game action.

Personal: Ronald Andrew Harrison...born April 12, 1989...son of Ronald Harrison and Pinkie Farrar...honor student as a civil engineering major at Delaware...has one older sister...father is a middle school teacher...served an internship at Dominion Power last summer and has worked at football camps...Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award nominee presented to students of color who are outstanding on the field, in the classroom, and in the community...National Society of Collegiate Scholars...active with Special Olympics and the Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia...member of the RISE (Resources to Insure Successful Engineers) Program at UD...leader of Delaware Christian Athletes...named to 2008 CAA Academic Honor Roll.
