High School: Standout in football at Pope John XXIII High School...three-year starter who played wide receiver, defensive back, and linebacker...three teams combined to go 30-3 during his career...earned first team all-league, All-West Jersey and All-Non-Public honors as a senior...also played lacrosse and earned a letter...honor roll student.

At Delaware: Second-year member of squad...sophomore who returns to team after one season hiatus...receiver with good size and speed...projected as No. 3 wide receiver behind Mark Schenauer and Tommy Crosby entering pre-season camp.

2008 Season: Dismissed from squad for team violation and did not compete....team went 4-8.

2007 Season: Walk-on who did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 11-4 under head coach K.C. Keeler.

Personal: Robert “Bobby” Russo...born Feb. 21, 1989...son of Robert and Mickie Russo...older brother, Anthony, played football for two years at NCAA Division III Muhlenberg (Pa.) College...marketing major at Delaware...has worked at a deli during the summers...cousin of former Delaware wide receiver and member of 2003 national championship team G.J. Crescione.
