Barto, Pa./Perkiomen School/Peddie School (Michigan State)

High School: Two-year starter as a kicker and punter at the Perkiomen (Pa.) School where his father served as head coach...named second team all-area by the Pottstown Mercury as a punter as a freshman...as a sophomore was named first team all-league as a kicker and punter and earned honorable mention all-area notice...moved on to The Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J. where he played two seasons for head coach Frank DeLaurentis...two-time USA Today All-American nominee...first team all-league kicker and second team all-league punter...first team all-county punter...as a senior, averaged 49.0 yards on 36 punts and was named first team all-area kicker and punter by the Trenton Times and The Trentonian...placed seventh in the state in the shot put as a senior at Peddie.

At Delaware: Second-year transfer from Michigan State University...will take over the punting chores after the graduation of four-year regular Stuart Kenworthy...looking to extend Delaware's streak of 169 straight punt attempts without having one blocked that dates back to the William & Mary game in 2005...could also provide support as a kickoff specialist behind All-American Jon Striefsky and freshman Patrick Murray...one of the league's biggest punters...has good size at 6-5 and 235 lbs. and a powerful leg...punted just twice in 2009 spring game but was effective with puns of 60 and 50 yards.

2008 Season: Played first season with the Blue Hens after transfer from Michigan State...served as backup punter to Kenworthy and as backup kickof specialist behind Striefsky...saw action in just one game when he booted a punt 34 yards in the second half of the 48-20 win over West Chester at Delaware Stadium...team went 4-8.

At Michigan State: Member of the Spartans for two seasons in East Lansing, Mich.

2007 Season: Battled freshman Aaron Bates for punting duties but did not see game action...team went 7-6 under first-year head coach Mark Dantonio and lost to Boston College in the Champs Sports Bowl...averaged 42.8 yards on eight punts in spring game.

2006 Season: Did not see game action and retained freshman eligibility...team went 4-8 under head coach John L. Smith.

Personal: Edwin Miles Wagner...born Jan. 31, 1988...son of Mary Jane and Bob Wagner...honor student as a sport management major at Delaware...named to 2008 Colonial Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll...worked as a painter during the summer...plays bass guitar....has studied Chinese.
