Ladden's 73 Leads Hens to 19th Place Finish

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Senior Mike Ladden (Conesotga/Berwyn, PA) fired a one over par 73 to tie for 13th place and lead the University of Delaware to a 19th place finish at the rain-shortened Golden Horseshoe Invitational host by William & Mary Tuesday.

Temple won the team title with a score of 293 in the 27-team field. The tournament, held at the 6,800-yard, par 72 Golden Horseshoe Green Course, was originally scheduled for 36 holes in two days but was cut short to one round due to rain.

Old Dominion was second (294) followed by Colgate (295), Liberty (296), and Seton Hall (297). Delaware tied with America East foe Drexel for 19th place with a team score of 312.

Also for Delaware, Mark Swinger shot a 75 to tie for 27th place while Eric Stepanian shot 78 to place 72nd, Terry Maguire shot 86 to place 127th, and Graig O’Brien was 129th with a score of 88.

Colgate’s Eli Zackheim took medalist honors, carding a three under par 69.
